Scale Not Moving but Clothes Fit Better

Why the scale lags behind
Weight on a scale is just a single number, it doesn't distinguish between muscle gained and fat lost. When both are happening at once, which is genuinely common during recomposition, the net change on the scale can look small even though the actual shape of the body has shifted meaningfully.
"It's a good problem to have."
What to actually trust instead
How clothes fit, particularly around the waist and hips, is often a better real-time signal than the scale during a genuine recomposition phase. The number will usually catch up eventually, but it isn't the most useful measure of progress in the meantime.
