Why recomposition beats a straight bulk
Nutritional setup is based on body fat, and recomposition is consistently the most effective metabolic state to build from. Rather than bulking broadly and cutting later, the approach works in a tighter, repeating cycle.
Get leaner first
Start from a body fat position that supports efficient muscle building, not the heaviest possible starting point.
Carbs go up
Once leaner, carbohydrate intake increases to fuel performance and support new muscle.
Repeat the cycle
Once the client gets leaner again, the process repeats, performance climbing, the scale climbing, body fat staying stable or continuing to drop.
Why this is more effective long term
It's more technical than a straightforward bulk and cut, but it consistently performs better over time: muscle and strength go up while body composition either holds steady or keeps improving, instead of being undone by a separate fat-loss phase afterward.
