Testosterone, Age and Training, What's Real

Why age alone doesn't explain it
I've coached men in their eighties with relevant testosterone levels, and men in their twenties dealing with low testosterone. Lifestyle, mental stress, activity levels, nutrition, genetics, and family history all play a real role. The honest picture only comes from actual measurement, not from assuming a number based on age.
What training can genuinely do
Hypertrophic exercise does support testosterone and growth hormone levels. That's real. What's equally real is that training alone doesn't always prevail against a genuine biological deficiency, and pretending otherwise oversells what exercise can deliver.
Where this becomes a medical conversation
Where supplementation is genuinely needed, it's something that works well for overall health when it's actually warranted, supporting physical health, libido, mental health, sleep, and general wellbeing. That said, this is medical territory, not coaching territory, and any decision here belongs with a doctor working from real bloodwork, not a generalised article.
