Why Is It Harder to Lose Fat After 40?

A different kind of demanding
In your twenties, the body forgives almost anything. Four hours of sleep, and you can still get through a full day at work without feeling the cost. By your forties, that same night catches up fast, especially when nutrition isn't doing its part alongside it.
Where the real difference sits
Low carb stretches, alcohol, and processed food all become less forgiving with age. Not because the body has stopped working, but because recovery has less margin for error than it used to. The fix isn't training harder. It's understanding recovery and hormonal efficiency well enough to stop quietly working against yourself.
